Project RadioVax: Optimizing the Synergy Between Targeted Radiation and mRNA Immunotherapy
A featured project
Designed a conceptual framework evaluating the combined efficacy of localized radiation therapy and systemic mRNA personalized vaccines. The project explores the biological mechanism where radiation-induced tumor cell death releases neoantigens, effectively acting as an "in-situ" vaccine. By mapping out a proposed treatment timeline, this project models how to time mRNA vaccine delivery to capitalize on the immune system's heightened response post-radiation. The goal of the framework is to theorize a protocol that maximizes primary tumor destruction while minimizing the risk of systemic metastasis and relapse.
